I always mixed all the colors together at the end & I'd end up with some blackish, bluish, reddish eggs! It's hard to describe but neat! I'm sad that I have no little ones on holidays like Easter! I miss all that corny stuff!
Saw it on tv today: glue dots !! (office supplies' aisle at store) Take a painted egg & press on glue dots, all one size or different sizes, and roll in small dish of glitter. You have metallic, polka dot, very hip eggs!!
Paint a design in Rubber Cement before dying them. Then after color dries - just rub off the Rubber Cement and those areas stayed white. Then we usually dye the eggs again in another color to color the white!!
While the egg is still hot, shave some colourful crayons. Sprinkle the shavings on top. Because the shavings are so thin and the egg hot, it will melt and make beautiful designs. It's hard to do the bottom right away, though. Happy Easter!
Try this. take a sort of sticker book thing. after the egg is colored, put the stickers on, finally, take a sort of clear paste and paint over the egg after the sticker is put on. let it dry and you have a creative egg. :)
I saw a really cool idea with bubbles! You blow bubbles into the cup you are going to dip your egg in then dip the egg in only the bubbles so it comes out really abstract and cool! The space where the bubbles separate is the part that will leave the color so its like abstract colorful lines on the egg! Hope this helped!
