You should go to a driving school to learn how to drive. This might seem like a needless thing, but it will help you know exactly what the signs on roads mean. If you have an automatic transmission vehicle, all you have to do is to step on the brakes, turn the ignition and then engage gear before releasing the brakes. If you have a manual, check out www.dmv.org/how-to-guides/driving-stick.php.

Driving is a lot more than sitting behind the wheel and pushing in the pedals. I don't know the exact #, but you would be amazed at how many decisions your mind makes, per second, while driving. Whatever you do, pick up the driver's handbook from the DMV and Go to Driving School. It will help you feel more at ease behind the wheel. When I went to driving school, it lowered my parents insurance. This will make brownie points with your parents if they are going to pay. If you are going to pay, it will make your life a little "richer." Don't forget to buckle up! :)
