How do I get powder makeup out of my carpet?

My sister dropped black eye shadow on my white carpet and It's my job to get it out what do I do?

First off, vacuum your carpet to get rid of as much of the loose makeup as possible. Secondly, dampen a rag using rubbing alcohol and then pat it on the makeup spot. Thirdly, blot the alcohol from your carpet using a fresh rag and then pat again with little alcohol. Read more on http://www.ehow.com/how_12090594_getting-powder-makeup-out-carpet.html.

I have the same problem... DO NOT USE MAKE UP REMOVER! It will discolor the carpet. What ever you do, don't scrub it, it will put the stain deeper into your carpet. Try a carpet cleaner, you can rent one at Kroger.

LOL ... sorry, but that's one of many examples of why I always find commercials with white carpets/furniture amusing ...

1 - vacuum up as much powder as you can, using the "wand" (to avoid tracking it, by running the vacuum back and forth)

2 - use a slightly damp cloth/towel to pick up as much remainder as possible

3 - use a steam cleaner to remove any excess (hopefully, the carpet is regularly steam-cleaned, anyway)
