73 Dodge Challenger drives up road, cuts out, sometimes dies, has no juice. Sits a few minutes, starts right up. Please help

Fuel pump and filter has been replaced.

I'm not an expert mechanic, so I don't know for sure. Could be an alternator problem, also carb might need to be adjusted. My only other guess is something having to do with electrical. If you have been driving in hot weather with the air conditioning on, then there is also a phenomenon called "vapor lock" that could happen. I doubt that is is it, because I believe such a thing would happen to a car like yours in 90 degrees of heat or more, and if this is recently, I have no idea where in the United States has seen that kind of heat lately.

carb. problems, get it started fix the choke where stays open. electrical problem not for sure.

Right now in looking online for a neutral safety switch wiring harness in case it's electrical.

My husband checked wiring under dash going into fuse box. Whatever he ended up doing there seems to have fixed the problem. My Chall ran like a top yesterday :-)
