I have to read a speech......

I have to read a speech in front of my whole class. Plus the speech is kind of awful. And I am really nervous. Any advice?

Just do it. Don't stress. No one really enjoys public speaking, so most people are understanding of your situation.

Don't think, just say. If anyone tries to pick on you, the teacher will stop it!

If you wrote the speech, add a little story that fits the topic. Imagine you are one of the anchor women or men you admire and you are reading the news. Good luck!

don't doubt yourself. just do the best that you can and don't think about it. if you feel like you need to practice, recite the speech in front of the mirror a few times. just be confident in what you do.

Remember everyone who gets up and speaks in front of a group is nervous. Focus on a friend or two when you look out and just pretend you are talking to them.

I get really nervous when I present anything and all I do is get up there and think, "This will be easy. I know t already." The trick is not to make yourself worry about it.
