The Bible states when someone dies they are in a state that is comparable to a very deep sleep. Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 states: " For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. All that your hands finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom is Sheol, the place to which you are going". When we die it is almost like if we are in such a deep sleep that it is very hard to awaken from it. Similarly in Genesis 2:7, the scriptures state the following: "And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul". To tie that in together because we are living souls when we die there is no life after death. However, because we die it does not mean that our loving God, Jehovah does not provide us an escape to death. John 5:28, 29 it states that there will be a resurrection of the just as well as the unjust.
It's hard to imagine not existing because you wouldn't be imagining if you don't exist. So I guess I do believe in life after death in a way, however I don't know which way I believe it could be reincarnation, heaven/hell or simply a ghost. But i do believe it because its too hard to believe in not existing and scary
I don't believe in life after death. I think we will all end up the same, another body six feet underground. People would really need strong evidence (which I'm sure there never will be) of existing after your death. Strangely enough I believe in the paranormal. Wait, so I guess I do... I don't know, I'm so confused >~<
Yes I believe in the spiritual realm. Read the New Testament for numerous references to it. God has a spirit and so do we. the Bible teaches that our spirit lives on after the body dies. if you have chosen God in this life, you will be with Him in the next. The alternative is not a pretty picture!
Definitely The Lord Jesus Christ has told us there is. Someone who did what he did in those times to me is the one Savior. Back then was a ruthless time to live an the miraclesJesus did only shows how much he loved us. Because of His death we live forever.
The Bible speaks of the hope of the resurrection, some to live forever on a paradise earth, and a smaller number to serve as kings and co-rulers with Christ Jesus in heaven. But as for reincarnation, or a surviving soul or spirit, no, I do not believe in that. When Adam sinned, God said in Genesis 3:19 "For dust you are and to dust you will return." When a person dies, they simply cease to exist, their brains and bodies completely stop functioning.
