Should I play the French horn or the bassoon?

I'm switching after my second year of playing the alto sax. We need a bassoon player in our band but I have always wanted to play the horn. I'm kind of good at buzzing, but my band director says that I would be good at the bassoon. I know alto, treble, and bass clef (bass is a bit rusty). I'm trying both out, but I need some advice. Thanks! :)

Be careful before you choose either, but Bassoon is pretty fun to play. I went from flute to oboe to bassoon. It's a lot of work.

I have a friend who plays french horn, and she absolutely loves it. She thinks it is a ton of fun, and it sounds beautiful. But, I think that you should play whatever instrument you like the best, and what you think would be the most fun to play.

French horn. I mean the bassoon is great too, but the french horn has such a beautiful rustic tone.

I agree! I've wanted to play it since I was six or seven, and I still do now because it's so gorgeous!
