My back hurts what should i do

I have a muscle knot which is hurting my back and I was wondering what massage should get rid of it and what part of the hand is best

You dont necessarily need a massage... You just need to stretch and work out your back.

Stretch. If one always stretched he would have no pains. Try doing it in a warm shower.

I layed on my stomach for a while yesterday and my back was hurting more when I tried 2 get back up 2 get my iPad mini

Don't lay on your stomach for back pain. It is an unnatural alignment for your spine and will make things worse. When you lie on your back, place a medium sized pillow under your legs. Make sure the pillow is under your calves/knees. This will align your spine better and help prevent further pain. If you lay on your side, put the pillow between your knees.

Massage and stretching and light exercise and Tylenol will help.

If you have injured your back, see a chiropractor. If it's just stiffness and aches then you should stretch your back out.
