I have braces, and something happened...

I have braces, the next time I go in for an orthodontist appointment (my next appointment is April 24th), I will get my braces off as my orthodontist tells me. On the very back molar bracket, (I have chains, the colored rubber band part that goes all across my teeth) the chain, the colored rubber part, has come off of the very last bracket. Should I be concerned? Could it delay my braces coming off? Should I go get it checked out at the office?

I believe it depends on when it came off. Get it checked out, as that is the safest way to go. I'm not an orthodontist, but I do know that they can fix it. You can always ask them, and don't worry! It won't be any major delay if there is a delay at all. Good luck!

You should be fine then, but ask your orthodontist anyways. You can show up there, but you can always call them too.

it depends on if it is used to hold the braces together or if it is just another brace.

Same happened to me when mine came off. I ignored mine because I was already so close to the end and my orthodontist didn't give a flying flapjack, but do what you feel is right.

yes it could delay it you need to put it back on and see an orthodontist to make sure it hasn't messed anything up

Maybe you can call his office. Usually when you get their voicemail, they tell you the emergency number that you can call.

You have another 4 weeks. Get it fixed so there's no delay in getting them off for good. And after they're off ALWAYS wear your retainer at night.
