How do organisms from different kingdoms work together to maintain a stable ecosystem?

Please be specific because I've googled this countless times and cant seem to find an answer.

My school is different, they didn't hand out science textbooks. According to my professor, the purpose for these questions is to do research.

Organisms from different kingdoms work together to maintain a stable ecosystem by creating a balance so that food, water, and shelter is available for each of them. Food and territory are usually balanced by natural occurrences like disease and the presence of predators. Basically, each organism has its own role to play. For example, grass has to grow to provide food for the antelopes, and these later become a source of food for the lions.
