What do you need to do in order to be a lawyer?

Report as

Formal requirements to become a lawyer usually include a 4-year bachelor’s degree, 3 years of law school, and passing a written bar examination. However, some requirements vary by state.
If you want to "specialize" in a particular type of law, it would take even longer.

Go to law school, pass all the courses, and then take and pass the "bar exam" to get a law license.
