What do these lyrics mean?

Cassino-Kingprince The song was written for a friend who committed suicide. I know what it's about, but all of the listeners to the song obsess over the line in the song which says, "The tollbooth of the birds of prey". What does this line mean? Thanks in advance (:

A toll booth is a place you have to stop to pay a fee to cross a toll bridge or enter/exit a toll road. Birds of prey arent all carrion eaters but carrion eaters like vultures are all birds of prey so maybe it refers to that. Death is a place you stop to pay a fee to become prey for carrion eaters???
