Can stress cause diabetes?

Hi, SunShynee. Through some research I did, I found that there definitely is something called stress-induced diabetes. I also know from my own experience that when I'm under stress my numbers can go up tremendously.

My dad is always telling me that because of the stress he got it. But I know he was lying and I wanted to prove him wrong. Thanks :)

No problem I have 5 family members who all have diabetes and it is not caused by stress.

It is a major cause of type 2 diabetes.

No , Sugar levels do , though stress can affect the over all real being of the person , which in turn causes them to maybe go off their diabetes' diet ex...

No it doesn't. I'm a T2 and I can tell you that if you are a diabetic, stress can drive your blood sugar crazy!!!!

Yes. If you have a lot of stress it can lead to over eating and later, diabetes.
(It's only a possibility.)
