I'm German and I don't have a problem with them. The only eastern Europeans I have come accross that I have problems with are Russians. Not because I don't like them, they just seem to always have negative and rude things to say about Germans.
I guess the Germans used to live a better life where everything is logic and is based on common sense. But when people with different views and a mode of behaviour come Germans feel some threat to their way of life.
It's not that they don't like you, you are simple different then they are.
As an eastern European i can't fail to notice one small difference between Germans and Slavs. It is rather silly but it's simply a distinction of the peoples. I spent some time in Germany and at start, Germans seemed stupid to me :) ( i don't mean that they are)
Just by looking at them, they seem odd and dim-witted. Guess what, they thought the same about me. When you are in your home country, you can understand the people living there, but when you come to Germany, you are facing a different culture.
They are just a different kind of people and by just looking at them, they seem so stupid. Don't be afraid, none of them will hate you more then the people in your home country.
Another fun fact: in most Slavic languages Germans are called Nijemci / Nemci/ Niemcy It comes from the word "nijem" which means mute or stupid XD. Even back then, the Germans and Slavs were those having difficulties
