Is taxing savings good solution in cyprus banks?

Hi. I'm working on school project about crisis in Cyper. I need your opinions abouth taxing savings in cyprus banks. I think this idea is very dangerous, and it will spread a lack of trust towards savings in other countries, and a lack of trust towards the eurozone.
Please let me know you opinion. Thankyou.

Taxing savings is not a good solution in Cyprus banks. This is because it is seen as a punishment to savings, which people strive to do in order to invest the money wisely. It will also lead to insecurity since people will opt not to save with Eurozone, leading to increased risk of losing income.

If the money you have in your savings account is not being used properly then you are losing income at all times. Putting less money into savings has nothing to do with decreased income.

If there is enough money sitting in savings accounts, and the interest rate on those accounts is of a certain value in relation to the rate of inflation, taxing those accounts could be economically beneficial to everyone involved.
