The grip is everything. Grip the ball with only your thumb, forefinger and middle finger. This sounds kinda corny but this is the way I was told many years ago. Consider the seam of the ball as a railroad track. Your middle finger should be on the top seam as if it's a train heading south with your thumb on the lower seam heading north, with the sweet spot in between at an angle. When you release the ball, it should leave your grip between your forefinger and your thumb. I hope that made sense. Practice, practice and practice again.
