How much do welders make?

It looks like a cool trade and I might go into it. Plenty of people say there are a lot of jobs in it and they make good pay. The bls . gov website says the median pay is $17 an hour? Is this right/ good? how much do they usually top out at. I'm also talking about a certified welder, with an associates

Gotta be more than $17.00/hr. No doubt.

Decent pay. $17 an hour isn't that good, but it's money.

It's better than working fast food or other low paying jobs out there.

Very true. But all jobs make some sort money, even a trash collector's job should be valued due to the high unemployment rate.

Might depend on were you live and work. Some parts of the country pays better than others and then there are taxes you have to pay as well.

More money if you are a union welder; might need to spend 1-2 years as an apprentice before getting licensed. Good luck; trades like this need good people, men and women.

A welder's pay is usually based on an hourly wage rather than an annual salary, which benefits the welder because the work often requires overtime. The most basic welder jobs have an average wage of only about $10 per hour, but welders can make a great deal more with experience, education and specialization. So, how much does a welder make? But they normally make a good bit like a lot of money they are usually very successful
