How can I get better at dribbling a basketball?

Report as

Practice dribbling full court distance up the court and back, using your left hand only. Repeat four more times. Then do the same right handed only. Then go up court left handed, down court right handed. Repeat this four more times. Do this daily and you'll improve. Coaches really covet players with excellent ball control.

Thank you! That was really helpful. Do you know any ways I could improve on dribbling the ball between my legs?
Report as
You have to be standing with your legs apart at a diagonal. In other words, left leg forward when passing with the right hand. Knees bent, practice passing from hand to hand with your feet planted, left hand behind. Get that down. Then reverse it with your right foot forward and left passing hand. If you get it down with your feet planted the rest will come naturally.

Practice just dribbling and nothing else. Just stand outside and dribble until your arm is going to fall off.

Really the only thing you can do is to just dribble......... Dribble 10mins with each hand, then practice running while dribbling(even like driving to the paint each way 10times). So this every day and you'll slowly get very good.

To Be Better At Dribbling Just Dribble. A Lot. Haha. You Just Have To Dribble Around Cones Or Dribble Down Low. Trust Me Youll Get Better(;

Practice and observe. Practice is obvious. But watch some videos of the pros doing ball handling. Allen Iverson videos taught me how to do some cool stuff. Not even kidding.

Use two balls at the same time one with left one with right. Practice dribbling them at the same time then alternate n try to do crossovers. Then get a chair and practice with one ball dribbling around it. NBA Ballers for Kinect helps too.
