I wouldnt say that there would be symptoms of molestation but there can be signs. like the person could be.....
withdrawn have lack of trust constant nightmares fear or be drawn to the sex of the one who touched them (would be an extreme fear or need to be closer) I say drawn to cause they would feel degraded and worthless.like they are only good for sex depression (like above) acts worthless shows signs of either being ashamed of their bodies by hiding it or being overly unredressed cause they believe its the way things are meant to be pulls away from love and compassion can become suicidal
these are just some of the signs. each person reacts in their own way. although it can also happen that signs never present themselves. if you believe someone you know has been molested or could still be being molested i would try offering help, giving them the steps needed to get better. emotional trauma and physical trauma may never fully get better but just letting the person know your there can help. whether they take the help or not at least they know someone does care.
Depression, unusual anger, suicidal thoughts and actual suicide attempts are some of the symptoms of a person who has been molested at a young age. The most reliable indicator that a child is being abused is if the child acts out sexually. Young people hide molestation since most molesters are family members or family friends.
