Do you have to make payments on a debit card

Report as

Debit cards removes funds from your checking account. It is not a revolving charge account. You can only spend what funds you have in your account

You don't make payments for a debit card. The only time you have to pay using a debit card, is if you use the money to get cash out of your account at an ATM that charges a fee for that transaction. If you use the bank the card is from, normally there is no fee to withdrawal funds...depending on the bank. You also can usually only remove increments of $20.00. (such as 20, 40, 60, etc.) Usually you can only withdrawal up to the amount you have in the account, unless you have "overdraft protection", and then it will, at the banks discretion, allow you over your balance, but it will charge you around 35.00 for over drawing it.

Whether your debit card is "prepaid" or issued from your bank, if you don't deposit money into your bank account or add money to your prepaid card, you will be unable to purchase anything with your debit card.

Its a DEBIT card. That means they DEBIT (subtract) the money from the account its linked to immediately as soon as the card is run.
