How is it waking up after general anaesthesia?

Are you able to read 3-4 hours after? Because i know I will fall back asleep after but after you know 4-5 hours how is it?

It really depends on the person. When I was under general anesthesia, my surgery was scheduled around 4pm. Things wrapped up around 8pm. Initially, I felt groggy. After a few hours, I was able to sit and watch TV and chat with family and friends. It was a long and tiring day though, so I didn't feel like doing much but resting. If the procedure is early on and you don't have any ill effects from the anesthesia, you might feel like reading. I had a book just in case, but never actually opened it.

Nice and quiet ! Had a good meal and the kids called one by one and we all had a good talk ! Oldest son came home from Turkey Sat. , and when he called , he asked what I thought about his two daughters ( 12 & 13 ) getting Iphones . Kind of talked around it , so they can decide on their own ! Here's a 25 year , Master Gunnery Sergeant asking his Dad about this ! I had to laugh ! He's been a Marine almost 25 years and it's his and his wife's decision . Good laugh though !

Me, Being in anesthesia for 5 hrs my experience after that is I just woke up feeling weak, then everything is blurry, I can't move my body, sometimes I feel like Im hallucinating, but after that you'll be good as new.

It also depends on age. The older a person is the longer it takes to get out of their system.

Wierd. You open your eyes and are greeted with overhead lights and voices while you regain your senses . Bright lights. You have no sense of time, as soon as you go under and close your eyes it feels like you open them again and are awake.
