What should you feed a mallard?

I want to get eggs bit need to know what to feed them.

They can eat leafy greens, small fish, and low-sugar fruits. The fruit and fish are minimized because store-bought fish are normally extremely fatty, and too much sugar can cause liver problems. Bread crumbs are never a good idea, but can be used as a treat every month or so. You will need a LOT (and I mean a TON) of time for ducklings as they have to be fed every 2 hours or be able to access fresh food or water constantly and have food taken away at night and given back at morning to prevent obesity and eating disorders. Good luck!

Can I buy fish from the store and cut the fat off?

Well, I believe you could, but it would be mainly bones and organs if you did. But I would recommend a small whole fish every week. Same with the fruit. My cousins ducks are pretty healthy eating like that. They also LOVE plain dry oatmeal as a treat ever month or so. But, my cousin is not and expert and neither am I, and a Vet should know the proper diet.

Not bread

I was surprised to hear bread is not the best for ducks. They sell Poultry feed which is suitable for both ducks and chickens. Ducks being poultry as chickens are.
