Your 15-16 years old. Posting a picture of yourself in your underwear would infuriate any parent since the last thing they want is for their child to be objectified. Keep in mind that your dad wants what is best for you and you have not shown him that you can be responsible with your phone. Maybe when he feels that you have learned a valued lesson will you get it back.

Prove to your dad that your responsibile and mature enough. Hopefully more than when you posted the pic of you.... in your undies... *face palm*

Ask him if you can have a phone that won't let you do pictures, only call and text.

But if you were my daughter, you wouldn't get it back. Period.

Many parents feel that oncce their trust is broken, it should be a very long time for their consequences to last, it's the only real way you'll learn not to do something that stupid again, right? If you were my daughter, and posting pictures online, you'd be 18 before EVER seeing your phone again! Catch my drift?

Wow, I'm so sad for you that you chose to do that. I'm sure you understand now that it was not only morally wrong but very dangerous. If your Father is as up-set as you say he is he must really love you. I believe you will get your phone back when your parents know for sure that you "get it" when it comes to being responsible in many areas, not just your phone. I had a situation about the phone when I was raising my daughter. My girl had access ONLY when I trusted her in all areas of her life, she paid in full for her phone and usage, and I had full access to her phone 24/7. You have a lot of trust to regain. We don't die due to lack of phone usage. If you choose to take this time (I'm sorry to say it will surely take many many months) and use it wisely, without complaining, nagging or cheating with another phone, you will look back on this years from now and know it was the most difficult consequence of your young life. And it will be the consequence that taught you to be a strong, noble woman. Now go make yourself a wonderful day. Blessings From Grandma.
