Buddha – the reputed founder of Buddhism, one of the largest religious beliefs - was a sun god. Buddha was merely the old name for the new Christ. The history of Buddha is the exact history of Christ.
Buddha, lived over 500 years before Jesus, was born on December 25 of the Virgin Maya, which is the same as Mary. Maya conceived through Holy Ghost, and thus Buddha was both God and man combined. His birth was announced in the heavens by a star, and angels sang in ecclesiastical choir. He stood upon his feet and spoke at the moment of his birth; at five months of age he sat unsupported in the air; fasted for forty days in wilderness and at the moment of his conversion he was attacked by a legion of demons. He was visited by wise men, baptized, performed miracles, rose from the dead and on his ascension through air into heaven; and left his footprint on a mountain in Ceylon.
Buddha escaped from the tyrant of Madura by a miracle, as Jesus escaped from Herod. Christ suffered death to save mankind -- so did Buddha. Christ rose from the dead, so was Buddha resurrected and ascended into Heaven.
Well first of all, he was the enlightened one. He knew "the way", and by being this divine person, he was very influential in his teachings. Secondly, he believed in peace and stability. He was also a very good speaker, as we are told. The Buddha also was very strategic in his ways. He practiced what he preached, and he showed it. Finally, Gautama was actually able to accept everything and everyone. People were very surprised by this, but it caused more followers to be born because they knew they would be accepted. Good luck! :)
