What happens to new cars that never get sold?

They are sold the following season with a lower price, but full warranty from the factory. You can get excellent deals this way. We always buy new cars that way. A car is considered used as soon as it leaves the dealer's premises. There is no point in paying extra for something that will be worth much less the minute you drive away. It is also important to consider resale value. Some cars hold theirs for many years.

For the new cars that do not get sold in one year's time, they are often sold at lower price as the dealers become getting anxious after the arrival of newer models. However they are still sold as new cars with the full factory warranty.

they are sold for less than new but more than used, my husband bought a 2001 daewoo, in 2004, new price was 7800, he got it for 4200. it only had 61 miles on it and the seats were still in plastic, the cars just sit there someone eventually, wants it...

As a former Toyota salesperson I can tell you that auto manufacturers rarely have unsold cars as a result of intelligent inventory control systems.

The new unsold cars are sold at a cheaper price but of course, at a much higher price than a pre-owned car.
