It was a journey the Cherokee Indians called "Trail of Tears" because of the devastating effects they faced while walking to a reservation in Oklahoma. They were forced to move out of their home land onto the reservation. Men, women, children, and elders all suffered from hunger, disease, and exhaustion. Was very cruel and sad what all they had to go through....

I'm studying this in my social studies class!! its a 1800 mile march through the cold disease stricken weather because the state of Georgia forced all the Cherokee east of the Mississippi River to leave because Georgia found out the native Americans had gold on their land.
