I believe there are sins that can not be forgiven. For example, killing someone and child molesters. How could God forgive these sins?

Report as

God sent 2 bears to eat 42 children in the Bible, for making fun a bald man who followed Christ. Kings 2:23-25.

I don't think He would be too concerned about choosing which sins to forgive or not.

Jackie, Elisha was not a christian, he was a Jewish follower, Jesus didn't come around for a few hundred years yet.

No, GOD sent the bears. No one said anything about Jesus.

"for making fun a bald man who followed Christ." Sounds like you did to us.

I agree with Seedy and Momo. This is a misquote.

There are sins that are unforgivable, these very likely fall into that category. An evil unrepentant heart may very well deserve judgement.

What makes you think these sins are unforgivable ?
Report as
An unrepentant heart may make these unforgiveable is what I'm saying.
Report as
Yes. God will forgive if we are truly sorry and ask for forgiveness. Nice one, Sj.
Report as
I'm glad you get what I'm saying. Steve & I were just trying to work out what "blaspheming the Holy Spirit" truly means.
Report as
I guess it is doing or acting in a way that goes against what the Holy Spirit is. I don't know. Did you two work it out?

People change... There is nothing in the Bible that says God won't forgive murderers and child molesters. If they truly repent from their sins and ask for forgiveness, God is merciful

God is extremely forgiving all you have to do is ask for forgiveness and realize your mistake. I know it seems crazy but God works in mysterious ways. You just have to trust him.

That should be between god and the person who sinned. If you killed some one because you were defending your self or another inocent person then I think that can be forgiven but child molestation that is up to god

Well, apparently Hitler, Paul & Constantine are enjoying coffee under the same cloud of heaven because they had accepted Christ in their heart.

Theres a difference between saying youve done something and actually having done it. God knew Hitlers heart and his future. I doubt very seriously he will ever be in heaven. For one, Hitler was never repentant of his crimes. He believed he was in the right. Constantine is different, so who knows. He may have been a true believer. If you mean the apostle Paul then yes, he will be in heaven. Every one of Gods chosen leaders were very flawed men. Moses killed a man and King David had a man killed so he could have the mans wife. Each was punished for their crimes but yes they recieved forgiveness as did Paul. Paul became one of Gods greatest leaders.
Report as
Actually, when Jesus was lifted up from this world (alive), only one true prophet of God came after him, and that was no one but Muhammad pbuh. I'm not a Christian, but just a simple reading of the facts shows that even if you believe in Jesus, Paul was not anointed by God or Jesus.

God loves all his creations,
and his mercy is infinite
and while this may sound like a stupid sentiment
it's really simple, based in conversion of the heart
to truly change, creates a total restart
doesn't everyone deserve a second chance?
should we only get one shot at this dance?
life really isn't so cut and dry
as to condemn others based upon an action in a different time
the past is the past, leave it in history
but the future, that's the question
it's a real mystery
if the person changes their ways
and regrets what was done in past days
they will certainly find forgiveness if they make restitution and pay
for the sins they've committed in this life
for the pain they've caused, the war and strife
nothing on earth is as powerful as penance
and a promise to do better will eliminate the remnant
of past deeds and actions of questionable end
for a conversion of the heart, God can surely send
you would want for a second chance too
if this all came down to you
does anyone else deserve anything less
do YOU get to retain God's mercy
like it's your own treasure chest?
of course not, that isn't the case
God chooses what he does with his grace
he knows and has always known
better than you or I
so place your faith in his justice
and stop asking why
for you and I both surely know
that God himself said as the saying goes
Let the one among you who is without sin
cast the first stone...

The bible saids that no sin is greater then another, and yes our God is a forgiving God, God saids His thoughts are higher then our thoughts and His ways are higher then our ways, if it wasnt for his grace and mercy we would All be in hell, some people dont believe in God, heaven or hell, that's their right,

God may forgive these sinners, but it doesn't necessarily mean they will not pay a price for their crimes. If a sinner recognizes his/her sin and repents, God always forgives (according to his word) but many times there is a penalty to pay, if the person is truly repentant of committing brutal crimes he/she will be provoked by the holy spirit to confess to local authorities and family members and accept whatever punishment awaits them.

adulterers can be forgiven if repented but may risk STD´s, a thief may be forgiven if repented but the thief must confess and may have to serve jail time, a drug user may want to go clean and serve God, but he/she may struggle with the addiction, these are examples, in the case for evil wicked despicable crimes like child molesters, God will forgive them if they repent, but chances are they will not get off easy, I don't understand God, but this is the picture that I got when I asked him this in my prayers.

There is no sin too evil for Jesus to cast out. It says the Jesus died for all sins even those who don't chose him. And saying he can't forgive a sin is putting him in a box and saying "nope this is something you can't do". God is all powerful right? All sin is equal so stop saying that you are better then the murders because I would almost bet you that murderer Christians are almost always wiser then you. When we fall he just wants to lift us up.

I've spoke to enough broken people to know that if they got past it they ARE wise. I'm not saying "go out and do evil" I'm saying the broken are weeping at Jesus feet asking of him and the whole aren't. Think about it. I believe firmly on this one so I tend to add some rage cause it does feel like most christians think they're better then ex-murderers and the like.

It's important to remember that God is a lover of justice and can also read our hearts. Notice what Psalm 37:28 says, “For Jehovah is a lover of justice, and he will not leave his loyal ones. To time indefinite they will certainly be guarded; but as for the offspring of the wicked ones, they will indeed be cut off.”

Sometimes even after committing a wrong act, a person may have a change in heart. Isaiah 55:7 brings out that God forgives in large ways. However, that does not mean that one is shielded from negative consequences. At Galatians 6:7 it says, “Do not be misled: God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap.”

There is only ONE unforgivable sin according to God and that is blasphemy. Thankfully for all of us God doesnt have the unfirgiving human heart we all have. If God had the same attitude as humans we'd all be lost for good. Like free will, forgiveness is available to ALL people or no one. Its all or nothing. The caveat is that we have to ask for and want it and most people who commut heinous crimes dont think they need firgiveness let alone ask for or want it. Still if a murderer does manage to find God and ask wholeheartedly for forgiveness he will recieve it, just as we recieve forgiveness for our many sins. There is nothing that makes us any more worthy of Gods forgiveness than a murderer.

The only sin God cannot forgive is the sin of refusing to turn to Him and accept His forgiveness. To put it another way, the only sin God can't forgive is the sin of unbelief. We are all guilty, dirty, rotten sinners in God's eyes. James 2:10, "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. We are all sinners in need of a Savior (Romans 3:23).

Would you forgive your child if he did something really bad? We are all children of God and he will always forgive us, even if we did do really bad things. If you are truly sorry for a sin you commuted go to a priest and God will work through him and forgive you. I am not an expert at my religion (Catholic) I would definetly spent time in the adoration chapel and talk to God. Spend time with him .

God loves us all, and he created everyone, I doubt you would want to punish your own children, but you would have to, God doesn't want to punish us, we all earn punishment by sinning. He loves everyone equally
