If something's 32.00 whats 10% discount? I'm sorry terrible at math!

Report as

The discount is one tenth of the price, so it is \$3.20; and the discounted price is \$28.80
Hope that helps

You just move the decimal place over so it would be \$3.20 discount

Try to remember that a "per-centage" of something is simply one hundredth of it. So, if you need to find a 'per-centage' of something, just divide it by one hundred. Therefore, as your question looks for 10% of 32, just divide 32 by 100, and then multiply the answer by 10. The answer is 3.2. If you take this discount from the original amount, you get the amount you have to pay (32.00 minus 3.2 equals 28.8)

Almost all cell phones and computers have calculators on them they're pretty simple to use try a tip calculator if necessary. This should help you expand your math skills

32 - (32 x 0,10) = ...

Drop a zero. \$32.00 - 10% = \$28.80. 10% of \$32.00 is \$3.20.

10% of any number is the first digit (not counting cents) if it is one digit. For example, 10% of \$3.00 is .03 cents. 10% of \$10.00 is \$1.00. If it is two digits (not including cents), it is the first number with a decimal point. 10% of \$50. is \$5.00. %10 of \$75 is \$7.50. 10% of \$95 is \$9.50. For a number with three digits (not counting cents), %10 is the first two numbers and a decimal point. 10% of \$500.00 is \$50. Just move the decimal point to the left one number or until the number makes sense to you and you'll have %10. In other words, the number stays the same, the decimal point changes.

Just move the decimal point over one spot and you have the answer all the time. Or put the percentage over one hundred and multiply. Ie 30/100xyour price
