Last night my son left a full crock pot of cooked Chilli out. Is it salvageable?

My son & some friends cooked up a large batch of Chili & pigged out. They turned it off but didn't refrigerate it. This morning I noticed it in the kitchen & it was turned on. Can they still eat the chilli safely or should I dump it on them? Can I boil it, nuke it etc. Thanks

Fritz you are usually the common sense one. The younger ones will tell you no. I put to you what mom and grandma did before big fancy refrigerators. Things sat out for 24/48 hours and we didn't die.

I would make him scrub out the crockpot when empty. I'm sure some pieces are stuck solid on the bottom.

Very true & obviously I've fooled you. As far as my children, it could sit out for a month, but I don't want to send a flock of 12 to 14 year old boys home with barf bags. They'd never be permitted to stay here again, wait. Is there a way to speed up the botulism. A summer free of little terrorist would be super-thanks again

Yes it should be if the lid is still on and it had not dried out

It should've been put in the fridge. So, no I don't believe it can be eaten. edit: I just realized its 10 days ago.
