I weigh 123 pounds. I was benching 200 pounds like 4 weeks ago I recently tried to bench 200 again but could only bench 190. Why is that?

I say this: Since you weigh 123 lbs. & you trying to bench 200, make sure that you gain more muscles at that point. & after you are through with 190 lbs, now you can put on 200. But don't strangle too hard or you'll hurt yourself. ;)

Perhaps your testosterone levels were higher that time? Maybe you drank an energy drink? Maybe you were a bit lazy-er this time than last?

I was competing with my friend when I benched 200 pounds. Would that make a difference?

Maybe the sense of competition and to see who is perhaps more ''manlier'' or ''stronger'' got you pumped up for the moment. You are very small in weight though, I don't think you should be benching that much, but if you can, that's awesome. (that was a side comment btw)

The energy levels in your body tend to fluctuate from time to time due to various factors. Start with the 190 pounds you are currently lifting and work your way up to 230 pounds or higher. At the moment, I wouldn't recommend straining yourself because you could hurt yourself.

There was a point were I'd go up at least 5 pounds each week. Recently I've stayed the same.

How tall are you? Because if you are over like 5'8 and are only 123 pounds then I have a real tough time believing you can bench 200

Oh well that's why lol. I was gonna say cuz I'm about 6'2, 165 and my max is 205 lol

I'm going to try to gain weight and keep my work out constant till it get easier again.
