I was at the dentist for 5 small cavities in-between my molar teeth. Its been 1 week since the fillings. My teeth hurt still. Suggestions?

I had two in my upper left molars and then three in my lower left molars. He also touched up an old filling on my right side. They are all very sensitive even a week afterwards. I cannot chew on the left side of my mouth because it hurts so bad (ESPECIALLY THE UPPER MOLARS). Any suggestions for how to ease the pain would be appreciated. I am already taking pain medication to ease it but it does not help much.

One of the best over-the-counter painkillers for toothache is Ibuprofen. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) or aspirin (Disprin) are also good for dental pain. Acetaminophen can relieve your tooth pain within 5 to 10 minutes.

Definitely let your dentist know as it could be because he/she hit the nerve while drilling out the cavity which can cause pain for quite a while.

Jacob is right go back to the dentist. One other thing it could be; a filling is higher than it should be.

Stop taking medication, it could cause more harm than good, call your dentist. He may have left a spot exposed or damaged a nerve.
