I would imagine rather similar to the looks of it now...... only with a hell of a lot more 'Google Glass' type things

Well, Assuming that no "Extreme Circumstances" have occurred, most likely still a sphere in space holding life.

It will be the same earth...
More human built structural decay.. Many species will be gone
Some places on earth will be wastelands.. Some places are already this way.. Gasoline and coal fired power plants will be long gone...But...
It will still be earth to who is left

Thanks... Not too gloomy I guess

Pretty accurate I think. Who really knows?? All I do know is that I'm glad I won't be here... Don't think there'll be enough Nature and Solitude to sustain me.

No military, No politics, No money ( there is enough here for everyone) No Greed, No religion, No disease. The last object of mobility is being thought of. Sky cars are being phased out. No war on earth only in space. The strong do not victimize the week.
Life is enhanced and controlled and that is a good thing. Life on all other planets is,
finally coming together. No school as you knew it to be. Computers take on a much
different design. Hello Virtual Reality.

Overpopulation and dwindling resources would dictate the social environment, and the way countries relate to each other.

-- Global warming and its effects will have destroyed much arable land.
-- Weather patterns will be violent and destructive.
-- Only synthetic foods will be available, except for the wealthy.
-- All non-domesticated species would have ceased to exist.
-- Christians will still think that the Rapture is imminent.

There are lots of negatives but, aided with computer power we're only just beginning to discover, science will find solutions. Life will be different but it will still be as enjoyable as we allow it to be.

We will be reaching for the stars with a view to resettling an unmanageable population but space travel will remain beyond our grasp. It's unlikely a way can be found to bridge the vast distances involved.

So what does it all come down to? Enjoy yourself while you can. THESE are the "good old days".

Had a laugh when I looked that up. Yuk!

It was a far looking movie for the early 70's. I would agree with its premise, but I don't see us being insightful enough to avoid a dark-age at the end of the current carbon-age.

It's very threatening but I'm inclined to be an optimist. Perhaps even the politicians could be forced to pull together and actually ACHIEVE something instead of scoring points for themselves -- but that's wishful thinking.
Report as
I suppose I'm a bit of a macabre optimist.
Nothing happens the world becomes over populated, civilization rolls along, the earth becomes a bleak utilitarian planet.
Or.
Another dark-age, civilization collapses, large population drop, earth has a chance to take a breath and reboot, eventually humanity crawls back....rinse and repeat.
Either way it's a win, win.
Report as
What a great idea. Reboot! (I'd love the chance to defrag and reboot my brain.)
Report as
Haha! Wouldn't that be nice :)

Why do you care? You are not going to be around anyway, unless you have a secret you want to share...

How can we answer this? All of us are currently living in 2013, and time machines aren't a real invention.
