No. Some people are sociopathic liars, which means they dont feel any moral angst about lying. And if you're comfortable with it, then the little things they do to detect if you're lying (heart rate, finger sweat) won't be accurate. And just the fact that you're taking a lie detector test could make your heart rate accelerate or make you sweat more.
No, the currently lie detector are mainly based on your heart rate changes by answering the base questions to designed questions, if you are guy asking by a hot chick lean down showing her neckline, your heart rate will increase even simple question like "are you a human?"

No. sometimes its 30% accurate other times it may be 70% NEVER 100% though it can be fooled, if the machine detects a sign of lying Like sweating or fidgeting the machine counts that answer as LYE or if the person can hold back any sign of lying the machine will be fooled and you will not be under investigation as much. I HATE the polygraph test.
It depends on how skilled and professional the person administering the test is. They can be extremely accurate and an expert can detect when countermeasures are being used. That said, they still aren't admissible in court.
