Hi, Tony. What's the latest that you eat or drink anything that has caffeine in it? I can't have ANYTHING that has caffeine in it after 7 p.m. and go to sleep at any decent time, ESPECIALLY tea. And there are so very many things that have caffeine in them that sometimes we're not aware of. For instance, chocolate has quite a bit of caffeine in it. Soft drinks, of course, and some are known to have super high amounts of caffeine. Plus, sometimes if you exercise too close to bedtime, it can cause your metabolism to get faster and wake you up more. Is it possible any of these things could be happening?

Oh yeah I remember drinking a large caramel frappe from Mc.d's and I had some coffee with some concha Mexican bread over my mother in law house and thank you for answering :)

Oh, boy. No wonder you can't sleep, honey. You have to be really careful what you eat & drink in the evenings. Holy Cow!! (No pun intended!) LOL
And, of course, you're welcome for answering.

Well yeah but sometimes without drinking all this I have problems sleeping you think I should go and talk about this with my doctor

It sure wouldn't hurt, Tony. You need as much sleep as you can get. Melatonin helps some people. It's a natural remedy. But others, it doesn't help at all. I definitely would talk to the doctor about it. Everyone needs their beauty sleep. ;-)

It sounds like you have insomnia, you can get medicine that helps you fall asleep, but I would suggest trying to find a natural remedy to help you fall asleep before you pump yourself with meds, solutions are different for everybody,

don't do things that gets you hyped up and uses a lot of energy before you try to go to sleep. flip your pillow. try to read or watch a calming tv show.

You probably have insomnia, a sleeping disorder. Talk to your doctor and make sure you tell them everything. With insomnia, you have lots of trouble falling and staying asleep. There are plenty of sleeping medications, but you should get a prescription just in case. This is different from your everyday sleeping problems; it's every night and sleeping simply cannot be easily accomplished.

This isn't prescription, but I'm not sure what you mean by "natural means". I have trouble going to sleep as well. Whenever I want to go to sleep (atm I'm on spring break and could care less) I take a tab of melatonin and a caplet of benadryl. Puts me to sleep in ~45 minutes.
