How to gain weight for a skinny people?

Be careful to increase your weight with lean body mass and not fat, so don't eat junk. You should consider eating three nutritious meals per day (plenty of 'good' colourful food, meat, chicken, vegetables, etc.) and also three high quality protein smooothies or shakes. This will provide you with the increase in calories, but safeguard you against the trap of eating too much or eating junk food. Whatever you do, ignore the advice to consume lots of fattening food like McDonalds! To be healthy and have control over your weight, focus on increasing healthy weight (muscle) and not fat. To gain weight, you should add 500 to the recommended daily intake or what is known as a maintenance figure. If you are gaining less than a pound every week, add another 200 calories every day. Eating calorie-dense foods like oily fish, red meat, oats, nuts and potatoes will also give you a boost.
