There are eyeglass cleaner cloths you can purchase. Never, ever, use paper towels. You can run your glasses under water and dry with a soft cloth or spray them with a glass cleaner such as Windex and again, dry with a soft cloth so you don't scratch the lenses.

Best way to keep your glasses clean ? don't wear them and keep them locked up tight.. otherwise you will be forever cleaning your glasses with a lint-less grease free soft cloth. Micro-fiber cleaning cloth works fine too as long as it is grease free. Most of the liquid cleaning solutions tend to leave a smear or leave a coating that some people are allergic to; the old runny eyes syndrome. Good luck and happy spectacle cleaning adventures .. ;-)
I have kept all kinds of glasses and sunglasses looking new for years by doing the following: 1. Rinse any microscopic grit off under running warm water. 2. Put a drop of dish soap on each lens. 3. Spread it all over the lenses and frame with the fingers. 4. Rinse thoroughly. 5. Just PAT to dry...ONLY BLOT, NEVER RUB. (That way even paper towels have never harmed my glasses for years!)

I have been wearing glasses since I was 14. The best way to clean them is with a shamoo (a soft cloth). First spray them with glass cleaner that you get where you buy your glasses... then wipe them. It is an annoying thing to have to do. Who wants to carry that stuff around and my glasses any way are always coming up with a smudge.
I use my shirt a lot, but lens cleaner, water, a 50-50 alcohol and water mix, blowing on it will all help than wipe off using a terrycloth towel or something, NEVER use Windex or paper towels, they won't help AT ALL.
I myself have glasses, so what you do is this: 1. Rinse thoroughly with hot water 2. Use a CLEAN dish cloth or sponge to scrub in dish-washing liquid 3. Rinse off again, this time with cold water 4. Dry with a dry dish cloth or lint free rag Your glasses should look much cleaner now!
