Squeeze a lemon in to a bowl and add half a tablespoon of salt. Rub the mixture in your hair. Go outside for an hour or two until your hair gets lighter. Don't use sun-in, because it can look really bad (it did on me) and it can sometimes turn your hair orange. :P

When I was "young", I would rinse my hair with hydrogen peroxide and while wet, sit in the sun for about an hour. You could actually leave it in your hair. It will, lighten your hair. The downside is, you have to keep doing it and of course, your ends will get lighter and lighter while new growth will be darker. On the positive side, if you don't like it, as your hair grows, you can just cut it off. Good luck and have fun with the change!

If it is summer,(or warm enough to go outside and tan) spread lemon juice throughout your hair and brush it through. Leave it in for about 30min-1hour STAYING IN THE SUN while the lemon juice is in your hair and then rinse it out. You probably want to do it multiple times for it to work (depending on how light you want it...). I guaranty the lemon juice will work 99.9%!!!

Yes, "Sun in" is the easiest it spritzes like a non aerosol hairspray, its not as harsh as some other things and when you spray it on your hair, you can use a blow dryer instead of the sun and it lightens immediatley = )
Someone said something about thier hair turning orange? Never had it happen, that was starting on blonde hair to begin with though. Also it lightens pretty quick with the blow dryer so I'd suggest testing a strip of hair 1st to see its for you, if you do it right you can even give yourself highlights that way.

Lemon is a very popular way to lighten hair naturally, but it works better for blondes. For darker hair try walnut leaves. boil them in water cool and rinse hair. It helps to go into sun and let dry. Then wash hair. I tried it it worked. Subtle and very shiny good luck finding walnut leaves!

You should try peroxcide and baking soda and put it on the parts of you hair you want lighter and leave in for hour or two, it will make you hair dramatcally lighter, it does on my and i have dark hair, also use a purple shampoo to get away the brassiness if you hair gets brassy. :) good luck
