Why are jalapenos hot?

Report as

Due to the capsaicin.......which you can buy in concentrated form in order to pull horrible pranks on people......

Try ghost chilis. I grew some last summer. I've never had anything that hot in my life.

No.....No....No.....No.....No....No.....No!!
Seriously.....I went to Quaker Steak and Lube and tried their challenge.....well.....I only ate one and a half chicken wings before I was in HORRID and UTTER pain like I never felt before......my eyes were just watering profusely and completely blood shot.....it literally took over an hour for my mouth to BEGIN to start to get back to feeling normal.......NEVER again

Yeah. I think I found my line on hot with the ghost peppers. I ended up drying most if them out and putting them into a coffee grinder. I have it in a shaker that I put a dash of into things.

Way back when, I used to work at a place that sold produce.....the place was near a lot of farms that grew all sorts of different veggies.....well, one day we got a shipment of different stuff in from one of the locals.....one of the things we received was some Scotch-Bonnet Peppers.....you know how cute and innocent and orange they look.....well, I had never even heard of them before..... I asked the one dude that had been workin there for quite some time what kind of peppers they were.....he said "they're a cross between a sweet and hot pepper"......so I picked up a whole one, chewed it up, and swallowed......HUGE MISTAKE......my insides were hurting for hours on end.....I friggin wanted to K-I-L-L him......he was laughin his azz off at me all day after that....

They really aren't that hot. Not when you cook with habeneros.

John: It was.... Interesting. He wanted to sit and watch Caillou the whole time. I told him he couldn't sit in from of the TV all night so we ended up playing pirates. Apparantly that involves getting into his mom's eye makeup while I was making his pirate sandwhich.
*sigh*
How are you? :)

I grew ghost peppers last year sunny. It's like 100 jalapeos.

Did you use them to hurt someone as a cruel joke Buddah? Because I think it's impossible to consume such a thing.

It's an oil called capsaicin, which is that hot sensation when eating peppery food.
