In my opinion, you should have allot in common with the guy/ girl first off... So you can talk about things with him/her, and get to know the person more. He/she should be a hard worker, respectful, kind, and loyal. Again that's my honest opinion.....

Rosie, I think you gotta want to be there, supportive, yeah, and really like the person, once you start drifting or wanting to do things apart, It's easier to drift

Be honest no matter what (it builds trust) do what you say your gonna do to the best of your ability (it builds charictor) express your beliefs but dont push them and respect the beliefs of others. Trust is very precious these days and being honest is a must for relationships. Good Luck

When people can make each other happy, no matter what

Report as
Yeah, and when they both agree to the same terms and won't hide lies and just have a good time together laughing and not arguing. Thanks!
Report as
Well, they gotta argue (talk with exasperation) sometimes, just to make sure they're both on the same page
Report as
Yeah, but not to breaking point where it would cause one of them to get hit by the other one though because that would seem to just sort of push them apart. Unless apology feel into place then maybe the two could work things out, but to me once a hitter always a hitter although I at times don't think that's true.
Report as
Nah, no hitting, unless they're into that kinda thing...
Report as
Rough love then yeah, but as for me no thanks I'd say. Lol

Medic-my daughter's collapsed lung is almost healed. She spent 7 days in the hospital and just got out and the incision site is healing well where the tube was inserted. I told you I would let you know. I hadn't seen you on here whenever I was here until now. The best answer by the way!
Report as
I had no doubt that she would be fine. Always good to hear, though. She probably had to do sessions with a respiratory therapist, due to lung adhesions. Any time tissues (in chest or abdomen) start to dry, they adhere to each other. The treatments break up those adhesions. I'm glad she's doing well! Thanks for the head's up.

Being able to talk and laugh at any given moment. An ability to trust one another 100% no matter what. Being able to sit together for hours without having to argue.

Usually the best place to start is to start off as good friends and then see where that takes you. If you want to get to a more serious level such as dating make sure you know that you have found the right guy who will treat you with love and respect and if he doesn't treat you right he is going to get a sl@g in the face from me mwhahahahahaha !

Helpful (3) Fun Thanks for voting Comments (5)
Report as
Yeah, start off slightly working way up then go for the serious stuff, but not too serious though or else if pushed or force me he'll be holding his jewels in hand crying. And thanks! mwhahahahahaha! >:)

Also I'm about to email you too. MORNING! :D

Respect trust & that good old word compromise. Without compromise one person may end up doing all the giving & the other doing all the taking. If you want love give love but make sure it's with the right person.

Hi Blade, hope your well today. Here in Australia we turned our clocks back last night. Daylight saving is officially over for another year & come June the the cold winds & the rain when it falls will be upon us.

I don't know why it took me till my 50's to realize the best things in life are already there in your life, you just have to open your eyes to see them. That's what I mean by wisdom with age
Report as
Kazarina I agree totally..
It's a gift to gain wisdom and understand such things
Yes and here.. just the opposite

Sin it is so touching to hear partners compliment each other in such a loving manner. While I was never lucky in love, longterm I have enjoyed my life & will continue to do so with my dog by my side.
Report as
Yes ... Life is good !
Report as
Oh...it's a close call between my husband and my dog !! Ha ha When he's out of town, my dog and I are best girlfriends! She loves to watch me cook, she's in the kitchen "helping ", she loves to watch the laundry go from washer to dryer, she stands next to me when I vacuum. My husband doesn't do ANY of that. ;-) In all honesty, it took a while for my husband and I to get to this point in our lives. We had to decide how we wanted to live our lives together and then we achieved it. It wasn't easy so I know how you feel.
Report as
In Series 13 of Midsomer Murders they introduced a new detective who, at that time, lived alone with his dog. He said it was a Sprechthund which he then explained is a dog you talk to.
Report as
Dogs are great friends. No judgment, forgiving, always happy to see us.. I've been training a dog for a friend for 3 Weeks ... minus the one I was gone recently.. I hadn't been around a dog that I allowed myself to get close to since my divorce.. But it happened with this guy..
It's funny how I realized I was limiting myself emotionally through this dog.. Maybe recent events and time helped but for the first time in a long time.. I look forward to seeing someone
Haha!
Sincerity you are so right in noting the work it takes to be happy and secure in relationships..
Dodgy .. You seem to have an unusually pure relationship with your better half, and being as reasonable and intelligent as you are.. I'm sure it hasn't been without its challenging moments..
I suppose it always comes down to the commitment to work through all obstacles before you can have that a GREAT relationship... Unless it's with a dog :)
Report as
Blades, you're right, and even in paradise there can sometimes be disharmony. But Daizy has trained the dog to bark at me and if words become heated, little Zoe stands alongside her and does just that. It makes certain that every argument ends in laughter.
Report as
@Dodgy...ummmm...I thought everyone talked to their dog... Oops!
Report as
Lol Dodgy.. I'm sure it does bring laughter!

Hi dodgy, I knew you were from Sydney back when you were your alta ego. Dozey. I just changed my profile pic from my dog to this butterfly that flew in my sunroom one day. Im in country vic gippsland way. This is not a standard butterfly for down here. It actually has orange & sky blue dots of color on it with black & white markings not unsimilar to the monarch. I once asked about who was experiencing high heat temps & you answered me.
Yer I'm also a chocoholic. Meat for tea, block of chocolate for desert. & an odd southern after a hard day at work in aged care.
