How hard is it to give up on someone you truly love?, can a person continue to live with himself or herself with ease?

i always listen to the words "you'll find your dreamgirl" or Soulmate, i'm just wondering, what if we do find them, but in the end we lose them or can't be with them?, how can someone live knowing that?, i know i wouldn't handle it

Heartbreak is all a part of life sir, it'll happen to you just like it happens to everybody. The difference is what do you do with that experience? Do you let it destroy you? Or do you use it as character building lesson that you learn from?

hm, it seems like I got both worlds.

First it destroyed me, then I slowly came back as a different person, a better version of myself. But then again, that goes along with my fundamental principles of martial arts. You must first destroy the tower, in order to build it up stronger.

You can get through it. If its meant to be it will happen, everything happens for a reason & we don't always know what that is !

It is call Trust. Trusting in God;s plan. We all go through deep pain in life..but Faith is the way to go. Be strong and know you are never alone. God bless.

Yeah it's impossible if you become totally dependent to them. But you'll pull through it if you just accept it and try to continue your normal life. You'll forget the grief. There may remain remnants of that though deep in your mind. Depends on your personality really.

It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

Everyone has a soul mate, but once you find them, there is no way that you won't be able to be with them unless one of you makes a choice not to be. You or the girl would have to intentionally sabotage the relationship in order for that to happen. so the "we can't be together" thing isn't reality. But you're totally right, a soul mate is someone tied to you, literally the other half of you, who holds the missing piece of your heart of hearts. So if you were to lose that person somehow by some tragic accident, it would be like tearing your own heart out, and stomping on it, and nobody can handle that without it effecting them in some drastic way.

I don't believe in the soulmate idea
I think it leaves the motion that there is something better out there.. Which potentially leaves commitment and dedication left somewhere far behind..
Any relationship is work.. And working together..that said, not every relationship works..
A good rule is for the amount of time you've been in a relationship that has soured.. Take half that time to heal, and realign yourself and your goals.
it simply allows you to be more aware of who you are and what your looking for in a companion
