If u want to lose weight regularly, just cut sugar+fat and eat anything else, but if you want to lose it fast, do that and exercise. I've lost about 25 pounds doing that... In a month. And I always Carry an apple or a 90 calories flakes bar u'll find it in cvs or whole foods, so that I don't eat anything from outside or nothing tempts me.
You should monitor your weight with getting skinfold measurements. It's the best way to track your progress as the trasditional 'scales' don't always reflect what is really going on.
