not fair huh ? some girls their first time and bang they are pregnant. i've heard that it is best to restrain from sex until your ovulation time which is typically around day 13 of your period. there are ovulation tests on the market that will help you gauge that. you may want to consider health checks for both you and your husband to rule out any medical problems as well. sometimes, its just a case of trying too hard and at the moment you both relax.......smile..............bang ! this happened to a couple who i am friends with:)
I think the answers that you will primarily get from this website will be weak attempts at humor, different positions, etcetera, it all comes down to that you need to see your gyn and get a referral to a doctor that specializes in fertility, there's a lot of things that they can do and they can work wonders, I think if you do that you are on the right path and that you and your husband will be able to someday soon have a child... Send me a cigar when it happens :~)
Practice Murphy's Law & have an affair, that always does it, lol. (Just kidding, don't do that!) Five months is not that long to try. 6-9 months to conceive is quite common. The window for egg fertilization is only 24-48 hours, if that, for some women, so don't panic yet. It takes awhile to get the timing just right. You can try OTC ovulation tests & monitor your body temperature during fertility periods to help gauge the best times to "do it." (Look for an elevated temp.) If after 1 year you're not pregnant, then do seek the help of a doctor. At this point there may be a valid reason why you're not conceiving. Hopefully you're just experiencing the norm.
