Am I doing the right thing by asking my guy friend if he's interested in me?
Last semester I sat next to a guy in my English class. Over Christmas break we got to know each other by texting all of the time (he's from Maryland, I'm from Nebraska, we go to school in South Carolina.) I started to develop feelings for him. He treats me differently from any other girl on campus. He spends alone time with me and texts me goofy things that he doesn't text anyone else. One day I studied with him and the next morning he noticed I did my hair differently. My friends think he likes me a lot. He hangs out with a group of girls and a guy from his church which makes me question whether he truly likes me. I made plans with him and tomorrow I'm going to tell him that I'm interested in him and ask him if he feels the same way. We go to a very conservative Christian college, his parents don't believe in dating, and before he came to college he went through a rotten breakup. I value his friendship more than anything and I just want him to be happy, even though my heart could be broken. Should I back out of telling him? I know I need to hear it from his mouth, but do ya'll think he's interested? Or should I just back off NOW!
