Write an offer contingent on a satisfactory home inspection within ten days of seller acceptance. Hire a licensed home inspector to thoroughly examine the house after you've had the offer accepted. The inspector will advise you of structural problems, presence of mold, etc., and approximate cost to repair or address deficiencies. Hire the inspector to tour the house within the first few days, leaving you time to arrange for any other contractors (e.g., roofers) to come out and give free estimates before the ten days elapses. Licensed home inspectors charge $250-$450 here in Michigan. They're well worth it. Find one near you on the Internet.

It maybe a good house depending on what it looks like, but the price is way to low. The average price for a house is at leas 300,000 dollars

It depends in the area you live. I live in a pretty expensive area. The regular houses in my area are between 350,000 to 500,000.

Probably not. That is very very inexpensive.

Where I live, no. You might find a small two room house somewhere for that price. Most places the property alone will cost that.

No, not where I live, twenty nine grand would buy you a garage.

It depends only on WHY the house is at that price.

I have seen houses sell for $50k ... in $500k neighborhoods. Not because there was anything wrong with the house - but because the market is down, and the seller just wanted to get rid of the house.

If you have a roof over your head I would consider it a good house. But by normal standards not really

Have it inspected for major issues, if it passes, that's a terrific price depending on the area

Totally depends on the area. Check the prices for the houses in that area on Zillow, com
