Apparently we have some non funny people on here. It's the theory that involves the building blocks of the existence of everything. The "creator" if you will....the reason the universe (known) is expanding. The proof is in the "echoes" astronomers can hear and see from the remnants of the explosion..actually the Big Repel.
See what happens when you tell people "... and don't say such n' such ..." The theory goes that everything in the universe was compressed into one tiny point and exploded out. That's why the universe is still expanding.
it was thought to be the beginning of our galaxy. I don't know specific details but I do know that it was when two things collided to make a big bang. Therefor creating the planets and the sun. Hope this helped :)
Once it was realized that the universe was expanding faster and faster, physicists did the math backwards, as if the universe was shrinking slower and slower, and discovered that (apparently) at one point the universe just burst out of one particular point and began to "inflate". (The scientists' word, not mine.) Someone tried making fun of the theory by calling it the Big Bang Theory and the name stuck. It never made sense to me, and a few physicists have admitted that it doesn't make sense to them either (the something out of nothing part) but so far they haven't found any other information. If they run the information they do have (the expanding universe and its speed) back to a beginning, the Big Bang is what they get.

the theory that all matter and energy in the universe was compressed into an extremely small volume that 13-15 billion years ago exploded and began expanding in all directions evidence that supports it is the big bang theory is the only theory that explains the following 1. The galaxies (or galaxy clusters) are systematically moving away from us such that the farther away galaxies are moving faster away from us. As a result of General Relativity this means that space itself is expanding carrying the galaxies with it. Both the Big Bang Theory and its major competitor, the Steady State Theory, could explain it. Recall that the Steady State Theory used the perfect cosmological principle while the Big Bang uses the cosmological principle. 2. The cosmic microwave background radiation can be explained only by the Big Bang theory. The background radiation is the relic of an early hot universe. The Steady State theory could not explain the background radiation, and so fell into disfavor. - ill post another addition it has too many characters (in comments)
What the universe today originated from a point?nothing was out there and the classical physics was out of operation?.what existed was an effect called The Quantum Fluctuation.which means that the energy can be parted into two parts?the negative energy and the positive energy . The positive energy gradually formed the positive matter ?E=MC2?........and become what you have seen now .
It's Styx's cover album from 2005. It features the songs I Am The Walrus by The Beatles, I Can See For Miles by The Who, Can't Find My Way Home by Cream, It Don't Make Sense (You Can't Make Peace) by Willie Dixon, I Don't Need No Doctor by Humble Pie, One Way Out by The Allman Brothers' Band, A Salty Dog by Procol Harum, Summer In The City by The Lovin' Spoonful, Manic Depression by Jimi Hendrix, Talkin' About The Good Times by SF Sorrow, Locomotive Breath by Jethro Tull, Find The Cost Of Freedom by CSN, Wishing Well by Bad Company and Blue Collar Man @ 2120, which is a revamp of their own hit single.
