Is it true people in U.S.A are afraid off the number thirteen 13
iam from the U.S. and I have never been afraid of the number 13, nor do I know anyone or heard of anyone who is afraid of it.
I don't think so no. Only certain superstitious people, but not necessarily just in the USA, many people over the world fear this number too - It's based off the myth about Friday 13th I'm assuming <3
everyone really, it is just a superstition. I live in Canada and in apartments, they skip level thirteen. it is 11, 12, then 14. it is quite silly to me, but there are people who really believe in it.
The unlucky # 13 goes back to Europe in the days before the USA even existed. It's total buIIcrap. But maybe there's something to it, ever heard of Apollo 13? haha
Is not only the # 13, in some cultures the # 4 is the number of death, and they avoid anything with this number on it... like phone numbers, apartments, even table in a restaurant...
Its a long standing superstition. Most office buildings in NYC dont have a 13th floor. The elevator goes from 12 to 14.Interesting,eh?
What about the lucky 13 fishing lure
i am not at all afraid of 13? i remember one time i got a raise on Friday the 13th. i am not aware of a place in the bible that says fear 13 ?
Most people say it's an unlucky number but I'm not supersticious.
The way I was told is that there where 12 disciples and Jesus made 13th. Being that he was hung on a cross superstition took it as 13 being a doomed or unlucky number.
