Is there a way to stop nails chipping/catching?

Basically, I'm starting to grow my nails! I've been biting them since I was 2 years old and I'm now coming up for 15 in a few months. It was actually quite easy to break the habit when I got some motivation from my boyfriend, but I just want to know, is there a simple way to stop them from 'chipping'? I'm trying to avoid putting them in my mouth so I don't feel tempted to bite them, but I'm constantly having to check if they've yet again chipped. The corners of them are 'splitting' and it's making it difficult.
I'll be going to the shops soon so I can pick up some nail strengthening polish but in the mean time, is there any natural remedies of sorts to make my nails stronger? Thanks <3

You need to file your nails short and use a buffer to smooth out the edges from catching on things. "REJUVACOTE" made by duri cosmetics is the best nail strengthener in the market. Be sure to NOT get it around your skin/cuticles because it will cause dryness. You can use 2 coats by itself or if you want, use it as base & top coat using colored nail polish in between. Hope this was helpful :)

Chipping and peeling of your nails mostly comes from poor hydration or/and diet. Drink lots of water and keep your nails and hands moisturized (make a habit of putting on lotion after washing your hands) and makes sure you're eating right (not too much processed foods or sugar). Make sure to keep your nails cleaned and trimmed. A manicure once a week won't hurt :)

Ah right, thank you! That will probably be it actually, I don't drink nearly enough :s
I knew my nails were going to be soft and prone to chipping/snapping, they did this before (a few years ago I attempted to stop biting them too and it worked but they all just snapped once they reached a nice length, so I just gave up)
But thank you, I will certainly start drinking more now :) <3
