Can lemon juice (not store bought; using actual lemons) be used to remove acne?

I wanted to squeeze all the juice out of the lemons I have and put it on my face to see if it might help with my acne. Of course, I would wash my face with a washcloth after. (And no MODS this is not a troll.)

Lemon juice is a mild astringent, so yes it can work:

However you need to be careful as some people actually react with WORSE acne after using it. You should identify the cause of the acne (excess oil? hormones? dirty job?) and fix THAT rather than trying random stuff on your face.

Lemon juice can act as a natural toner, but that will not get rid of acne. Check out Burt's Bees acne products, they are amazing :)

Vitamin C is excellent for helping skin to repair itself. bacterial acne is, of course, caused by bacteria, which can not really be affected by lemons on the skin surface. It is imperative to use rubbing alcohol at least 2-3 times on your face every day. Don't touch your face for any reason because your hands and arms have bacteria that will infect your pores and create acne. Egg whites on your face will actually help tremendously for appearance and healing because they are rich in vitamins and nutrients for healing.

I think it can work but I strongly that you cleanse your forehead with castor oil as castor oil helps flush the skin of the 'blockage' in the pores.
Massage one tablespoon of castor oil gently onto your forehead for about 2-3 minutes and and after that swathe a steaming facecloth onto the area. Let the facecloth rest on your forehead for another 2 minutes, this helps open up the pores which will let the castor oil do its work and unblock them. Then using the facecloth, gently wipe away the castor oil after the minutes are up. Do this twice a day, each day.

Always wash your skin to get rid of dead skin and bacteria.
Avoid touching your face.
Also, perhaps avoid using makeup around the forehead area, just to be sure.
You can also try applying tea tree oil, this helps kill any left over bacteria.

Good luck! <3

So much new info. I suffered years ago and grew out of it.

Indeed! There are a lot more treatments these days - natural remedies and prescribed medication! :)
My friend suffers with acne but it's gradually going away, these things are very good! Natural remedies are working better than her medication at the moment!

I tried putting some on a cotton ball an than sprinkled a little sugar on top and put it in my face. It really worked no joke but do only 2 or 3 times a week.
