How Many known languages-of-the-world.us are there?

Report as

There is probably more then what Jfans345 and wickedpissah said, but problem is most languages are a lot alike and share common base words. For others like latin.. well it exists but no one can speak it. Many MANY more languages are out there that no one speaks anymore but they still exist. So is your question ALL or only spoken ones? 6,800-6,900 SPOKEN ones, as for non-spoken.. I can't answer that. I know this past year one language died out because the last person who could speak it died.

@Jfans345
Looking it up is not very helpful sadly because it is an argument. The site I found said everyone agrees between 6,800 and 6,900, but any more exact and people start disagreeing.
