After I take a shower I am extremely itchy! I have changed loofahs, body washes, shampoos and conditioners!! Can it be hard water? If so-

What can I do? I bought a millions of lotions for after words and doesn't help. It is not dry skin. I ruled that out long time ago. HELP!!!!

My friend had this very same issue and it got worse and worse. She had gone to several doctors to see if she was allergic to something, but didn't get any helpful answers. She then took things into her own hands and completely detoxified her life. She doesn't eat any grains now (but is especially sensitive to wheat). All whole fruits, veggies, meat, and an occasional glass of vino.

She also drastically reduced her use of all soaps, and mainly washes (her body and her house) with essential oils and salt! Essential oils have many different cleansing properties (peppermint is extremely cleansing and was used by our ancestors to clean).

Thought I'd share in case you are still feeling itchy. ;)

Its probably hard water then. Do you have a water softener?

Does it attach to the shower head? I live in an apartment. I would have to speak to land lord and ask him about water filter in basement.

Yes as far as i know, the water softener(s) would provide water to the entire establishment.

Loofahs made itch more, so I stopped a long time ago.
Try Vitabath Gelee Soap or Neutragena Liquid Soap.

Itchiness after taking a shower can be caused by hard water, an allergic reaction to water and eating an unbalanced diet. You can try to prevent the itchiness by bathing with soft water and eating a balanced diet so as to retain moisture in the skin. However, you should also consult your dermatologist to make sure that you are not allergic to water.
